Please see your GM Dealer for details and vehicle eligibility.
Program Description
GM Canada will provide a Basic Fleet allowance on select new vehicles for Dealers to pass on to eligible Fleet Customers.
Eligible Fleet customers are those who have been assigned their own Fleet Account Number (‘FAN’) and remain in good standing at time of vehicle delivery.
Retail customers who lease an eligible vehicle from a Dealer Controlled Leasing Company or an Independent Leasing Company are eligible for the Basic Fleet Program.
Eligible Fleet customers can select to substitute the retail program offers in lieu of the Basic Fleet allowances. Visit your Dealer for details.
Other Program Guidelines
APPLICATION FOR A FLEET ACCOUNT NUMBER
It is the dealer’s responsibility to verify that a Fleet customer has a valid Fleet Account Number (FAN) and is an eligible Fleet user.
FANs may be verified through the Fleet Action Center at 1 (800) 866 0313.
If the customer qualifies for a FAN but does not have one, it is the dealer’s responsibility to enroll the customer by obtaining photocopy proof of vehicles registered and insured in the company and/or owner/operator name. The dealer then must go to Global Connect/Workbench/Sales/GM Global Fleet Account Number/ and enroll the Fleet customer using the on-line process.
Independent Leasing Companies applying for a FAN must submit to the dealer proof of five (5) vehicles registered in the Lease Company name, as well as a copy of the articles of incorporation of the company, including a list of officers. A FAN will only be issues to Independent Leasing Companies that have been in business for a minimum of six months.
Please remember that Fleet customers certify, as part of their program enrollment, that no vehicles purchased under the fleet program are being purchased, directly or indirectly, for export, sale, or use outside of Canada.

Fleet companies registered within their provinces as both a lease company and rental company must have two separate FANs, one for each business type. Fleet companies that have a commercial entity and a leasing or rental entity also require separate FANs for each registered business type.
IN-SERVICE REQUIREMENTS:
All eligible vehicles delivered under this program must be licensed, titled and retained for use in Canada for not less than six (6) months and accumulate at least 12,000 kilometers by the first eligible Fleet customer who takes delivery of the vehicle.
